mångubbens glans bland träden...

Julstämning så här den tredje söndagen i Advent...

Christmas feelings , on this third Sunday in Advent...

en underbar dag...fattar inget...ingen stress!...

a wonderful day...don't get it...no stress!...

och snart är det Lucia!...har jag missat nåt?? Annars brukar stressnivån ligga en aning högre vid den här tiden!...

and soon it's Lucia!...did I miss something?? Usually the stresshormones are on a much higher level at this point in time!...

Det är bare och njuta så länge man kan! Ha en underbar Lucia! Vi ses!

Baking...check, Lucia...check!

Nu har racet inför julen börjat! Bakning hela helgen...eller rättare sagt hela söndagen...

Julstjärnor, Uppåkrakakor, Lussebullar...

The race before Christmas has started ! Baking all weekend...or more exact all Sunday...

Christmas stars (as above) , jamfilled cookies, Saffronbuns...

Pepparkakor!...alla är med ...Leon också!...

Gingerbreads!...Everyone wants to particiapate...Leon the cat too!...

och morgonen mystes det vid brasan och lussebullefrukost framför TV'n...

Julstämningen börjar infinna sig!

and the early morning was spent watching Lucia morning on TV with a cozy fire and Lucia breakfast...

The Christmas atmosphere is definitely spreading!...

Lusse lelle / Little Lucia

Natten går tunga fjät...Har man många barn så blir det många luciauppträdanden!...

Sancta Lucia...If you have many children you are probably going to experience several Lucia performances!

Men det gör inget för jag tycker så mycket om själva Lucia firandet...Sen är det så roligt att följa de små från dagis upp i skolåldern med mer och mer avancerade framträdanden. Alla små flickor vill ju vara Lucia!!...

But that´s OK because I enjoy the Lucia celebrations so much...And it´s such fun to follow the childrens performances from kindergarten to preschool and school. Every performance gets more advanced! And every little girl wants to be Lucia!!..

Jag är glad att vi har så fina traditioner...

I´m glad that we have these lovely traditions...

Att vakna tidigt på Luciamorgon och få uppleva ett besök av Lucia är väl fantastiskt...fast jag drar mig till minnes att min gymnasielärare med fru var sådär måttligt roade när vi i klassen stövlade in klockan fyra på morgonen...en aningen förfriskade dessutom! Men de mjuknade en aning när de fick kaffe på sängen! Nuförtiden samlas vi härhemma framför TV´n med Lucia frukost , tända ljus och en sprakande brasa...

To wake up early in the morning to a visit from Lucia is fantastic...But I recall that my old highschool teacher and wife were not quite so happy when we in the class stumbled in at 4 o´clock in the morning...slightly too happy after partying all night! But they softened when we served them coffee on the bed! Nowadays we gather in front of the TV to watch the national broadcast of the Luciamorning. With candles and a cozy fire in the stove...

Luciafrukost med kaffe,  lussebullar och pepparkakor...mums!....

Luciabreakfast with saffronbuns, gingerbreads and fresh coffee...yummy!...

Det är så vackert!...

It´s so beautiful!...

En och annan tomtenisse måste ju också vara med!...

A little santa "elf" has to be in the performance too!...

Så njut av Lucia firandet så ses vi snart igen!...

Luciamorgon /Lucia morning

Tidig arla morgonstund...upp och hoppa 07.00! Jag dukar fram lussefrukost...fast i dessa moderna tider så blir det framför TV´n. Ruskar på gubben i sängen...får bara ett ZZZZZZzzz till svar! Men barnen tassar med och gosar i soffan med filtar.

Early morning...upp and jump at 07.00! I make Lucia breakfast with saffron buns and gingerbreads...in these modern times it´s in front of the TV where we watch the national broadcast from a Luciamorning with beautiful luciasongs. I try to wake up my hubby...but there´s only a ZZZZZzzzz for an answer! But the children cuddle up in the sofa with soft blankets.

Ute vaknar världen till liv och solens strålar letar sig genom grenverket....

Outside the world wakes up and the sunbeams find their way through the tree branches...

Det ser ut att bli en fin dag i dag...

Looks like it´s going to be a fine day today...



När man har tre små barn får man verkligen fira Lucia ordentligt! Torsdag, fredag, lördag och sista svängen på måndag!...

When You have three children You can be sure that Lucia will be celebrated a lot! Thursday, friday, saturday and the last event on monday!...


Men det är det värt tycker jag!....

But I think it´s worth it!...



Småfåglarna påminner mig att det är dags att fylla på med mat....

Earlybirds remind me it´s time to put out some more birdseeds...



Naturen visar sig från den vackraste sidan och lockar till uteaktiviteter....

Mother nature shows her best side and calls for us to come out in the snow...

Och det ska vi hoppas jag...

And I hope we will...

Så skall dagen också ägnas åt bakande och pysslande inför julen...

Today´s a perfect day for baking and making other preparations for christmas....

Lucia!

Idag har det varit Lucia , med början i morse vid TV:n, lussefika på jobbet och slutligen dagislucia, inte ett öga var torrt! Om man bortser från en stressande småbarnsmamma som flänger hit och dit letandes batterier och glitter och lampor till luciakronan (kronorna!) så är det ljuvligt att se och lyssna på luciasånger! En unik tradition för Sverige tror jag även om man småfuskar lite här o där i andra länder.

Today we have been celebrating Lucia. A unik tradition for Sweden, even if it occures a little here and there in other countries. If You ignore the stressed mother of 3 small children running around trying to find batteries, tinsel garlands and those small lightbulbs for the Lucia crown (crowns!) , it´s so delightful to watch and listen to the traditional Lucia songs! It starded early this morning with a lovely breakfast , sitting by the cosy fire in the fireplace in our livingroom watching the national TV broadcast from Zorn´s home in beautiful Mora, continued with "lussefika" (that means coffe, saffronbuns and gingerbread) in the morning at work and ended at kindergarten with all the toddlers singing the usual songs! Not a single eye was left dry!

Jag älskar traditioner! I love traditions!

Annars är det torsdag i dag och det betyder loppis eller ta tillvarabutik! Här nedan ser du mina "fynd" av gamla julsaker som jag köpt de senaste torsdagarna ,löjligt billigt (maken skakar på huvudet och himlar med ögonen!)

Otherwise today `s thursday and means Thriftstore time! Here You can see some of my finds of vintage christmas decorations that I have bought ,rediculously cheap! (husband shakes his head and rolles his eyes!)

Allt är för kommande projekt! Fast maken tycker att det börjar bli många "kommande projekt"!

Everything is for future projects, allthough husband thinks that I´m beginning to have a little too many "future" projects!
